  Le Centre d’inventaire et de documentation du patrimoine est une division relevant de la Direction du Patrimoine Culturel (Ministère de la Culture, Maroc). C’est une institution spécialisée consacré essentiellement à l’établissement d’un inventaire systématique de toutes les facettes de l’héritage culturel matériel et immatériel marocain ainsi que du patrimoine naturel en ayant recours aux nouvelles technologie de l’information. Outre les actions de terrain visant le recensement des données, le centre s’occupe également de la documentation sous forme de fiches d’inventaire servant pour la mise en place d’une base de données informatisée. Le Centre est structuré en trois services : 1) Service de l’inventaire et des enquêtes ; 2) Service des traditions, usages et coutumes ; 3) Service des publications et de la promotion du patrimoine.
  
  
• CultNat (Egypt)
  Center for documentation of cultural and natural heritage (CULTNAT), affiliated to Bibliotheca Alexandrina BA and supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information technology MCIT, is specialized in the documentation of Egypt’s cultural and natural heritage. The documentation is carried out through seven major programs: the archaeological map covering the overwhelming number of sites, monuments and artifacts scattered all over the country, the architectural heritage of Cairo, the natural heritage of all Egyptian habitats, the photographic heritage of Egypt's orientalist photographers, the folkloric heritage, the Arabic music heritage, and last but not least the Arabic and Islamic manuscripts. CULTNAT makes use of state-of-the-art information technology and collaborates with renowned national and international organizations to better serve the documentation process, raise public awareness and help preserve one of the oldest and richest heritage of the world.
